It’s funny when I look at tree and the tree’s not
standing straight, when its branches are twisted and turned in a manner that is
unexpected, I say to myself, now that’s a beautiful tree. But when I’m with a
person and they’re not acting right, or maybe they’re saying something I deem as dull or uninspired, I find myself full of judgment. Their unorthodoxies are a
detriment to my good time. That’s a silly way to live in my estimation. I’m
treating tree’s better than people. Trees are better than people in most instances.
A tree is quiet wisdom. It minds its own business. People are all over the
place. There are too many variables to a good relationship. People are hard to quantify.
I’m not a misanthrope by any means, but I do love trees.
